Format of the ICC Cricket World Cup
14 teams will take part in the initial stages, divided into two groups of seven; the seven teams play each other once before the top four teams from each group qualify for the quarter-finals. This ensures that each team gets to play a minimum of six matches even if they exit in the group stage.

- If a team remains unbeaten i.e wins the Cricket world cup 2015 without losing even one match in the event, then the team champion will be rewarded with $4.6m whereas the champion team who lost in the previous matches, might get $4.3m in reward.
- Winner of group matches can get $52,000 per match.
