How do we try to learn about the financial concepts? Mostly by reading books,finance newspapers, finance magazines (other than learning from mistakes). There are many business channels given that are air programs related to stocks, mutual funds etc. journey (in alphabetical order).

These channels also air programs related to personal finance of which I am aware of two, Smart Money on Bloomberg TV and Plan F on CNBC 18 which are discussed below. If you cannot catch these shows when aired you can follow them at your convenience on you tube.
Smart Money : Bloomberg TV
Bloomberg TV India along with Mint, airs personal finance show called Smart Money. The weekly call-in show is hosted by Vivek Law, Bloomberg TV India’s Editor and Monika Halan, Mint Money editor. They take viewers’ questions and debates issues around personal finance news and products with the aim to help you manage your money smartly. Catch the show on Friday: 08:30 pm, Saturday: 06:00 pm, 08:30 pm, Sunday: 10:00 am, 12:30 pm and 05:30 pm on Bloomberg TV India. Check out the episodes at on Bloomberg TV Webpage on Smart Money. Plan F : CNBC TV 18
Plan F is a 10-episode weekly series, which showcases investors who share their savings and investment experiences. The aim of Plan F , Financial Fitness Plan,is to provide simple and effective savings and investment lessons and advice, so that they can start making well informed financial decisions as well as learn the right way of investing. It will air every Saturday at 7 pm and every Sunday at 8 pm on CNBC TV18 and is DSP Blackrock Mutual Fund initiative in tie up with top personal finance blog Jagoinvestor. Format of the show is :
- The anchor, Sumaira Abidi, introduces the individual
- An audio visual clip offers a glimpse into the life of the individual and his views on his investments, savings.
- Cyrus Broacha, yes the MTV Bakra guy, in his own unique and witty style, talks to individual and his family member.
- 2 leading experts, Finance Advisor (IFA) analyse the case, discuss changes required and suggest steps to help the individual meet their desired goals. They also rate the individual’s efforts on a point scale of 1 to 10.
- Jago Investor founders Manish Chahuan or Nandish Desai give 3 lessons for investors from the case study
