Did you get Income Tax Certificate of Appreciation? Did you display it in your house or office? What do you think of the idea of giving Income Tax Certificate of Appreciation? Will it encourage tax payers to pay their tax on time.
The Tax payers should get some retirement benefit like a minimum pension , based on total tax she/he pays throughout her/his lifetime. The certificate does not provide any value to the Tax payer , until it has some benefits..
Good suggestion.
But I don’t think Govt would act on that
I am ashamed to say that I am regular tax payer from past 15 Years for my earnings to this government compared to other countries tax law and benefits,
However what benefit will I get from Government if loose my current Job and if I don’t find any new Job to earn and pay tax to government.
Even if I go to hospital I have to pay service tax from my already taxed money
This indicates that I have to keep earning money only to pay tax to government not to survive
All tax payers should seriously think about what benefits as tax payer are we receiving from government
tax paying people should get some benefits like/frees hospital treatment.pension or govt subsidies
I have been regularly paying income tax and also got a Silver Certificate of Appreciation. I appreciate the move by IT Department and also feel proud of my contribution towards building this great Nation. Now after retirement, do I have any benefit attached to it like many other countries give to their retired tax payers ?
This is good have an appreciation by Income tax of India. But we are Indians and we think of a return gifts also. For example one has to curtail their family time to earn a “leave” but while in-cashing it you have to pay taxes as per your respective tax slab.I think Govt. may think of it.
Though its good initiative, but normal people will think of some return. Govt. should consider and recognize with some benefits. Though it feels good but no body will ready to display in public. We apericaite the efforts of Govt. but think of some return gift to honest tax payers…
This certificate should have some benefits like free Medical treatment in any hospital, free doctor consultation etc. Other countries do the same thing, taxpayers need not to pay anything for their medical expenses from their pocket, instead govt. provides this free medical benefit. Here we taxpayers pay our 2 month salary as Tax means 60 days we work without pay and we don’t get any such particular benefit from govt. for our contribution.
i feel this certificate should come with some benefits.
The idea of displaying income tax appreciation certificate is quite unappealing . Why should I tell my visitors how much tax I pay and consequently how much I earn !!
How to receive the Income Tax Certificate of Appreciation

SIMPLE TO PAY TAX… & SIMPLE TO GET CERTIFICATE
How to receive the Income Tax Certificate of Appreciation?
Atleast Rs.500- 1000 incentive shall be given at the time of next filling to encourage people who had filled through e- filling.
Yes I received it. I am not going to display it anywhere
Initiative is good but it will make any difference or encourage tax payer only if there are certain benefits attached to it.
