  3. Sir,
EPFO. Chandigarh has asked me to deposit a sum of Rs.419752.00 as on 28.2.2019 on account of excess contribution on higher wages exceeding statutory wage ceiling of Rs.5000.00 or Rs.6500.00 in PF(ER share) with up to date interest as declared under EPF Scheme, 1952 from time to time. It is as per Hon’ble Supreme Court orders in SLP No 33032-33033 of 2015.
EPFO. Chandigarh has ,on demand, refused to intimate the amount of revised monthly pension and the amount of arrear of pension on account of difference between revised monthly pension and monthly pension already receveid ,with out deposit of Rs.419752.00.I am not sure whether this scheme is beneficial or not..
As para 12 of EPS Act 1995,I have calculated revised monthly pension and amount of arrear of pension. Its working as given below=
    1)EPF Joining date. Feb.1970.Pension scheme applicable w.e.f. April 1971.
    2)Retirement date. Oct.2001.
    3)Salary per month till 1995. Rs.4695.00.i.e.more than Rs.2500.00
    4) year till 15.11.1995. 24years7months14 days.
    5)Multiplication Factor. 6.589.

    6)pay band. Rs.170.00.(A)
    7)pension for past services. 170 * 6.589=1120.13.
    8) Average monthly salary of 12 month
at the time of retirement. Rs.21773.00.
    9)Length of service after 16.11.1995.
till date of retirement. 6+2( as bonus)=8 years.
    10)pension for pensionable service. 21773 * 8 / 70=2488.34.
    11) Total pension. A+B. 1120.13+2488.34=3608.47.
    12) Amount refundable by EPFO. 3608.47*208=750562.35-169975.00( already received from Nov.1995 to Feb.2019 ) 580587.35.
I am not aware about any other guide lines or any other circulars of EPFO on this subject. I shall be gratefull , if you kindly advise me whether calculation made by me are correct.

  8. Currently I am not holding any EPF account but I would like to open new VPF account without EPF account. Is it possible? Also I want to transfer all my old EPF account money to new VPF account, is it possible?

    • Sorry Aditya to do VPF one needs to have EPF account as contributions are made by the employer. Voluntary funds has details of Voluntary Provident Fund.
But you can open a Public Provident Fund (PPF) account if you have don’t have one. Let us know if you need details on PPF.
